Street markets are great places to shop, watch the locals and while away a few hours in busy pavement cafe. But especially if you’re new to the Spanish Costa Blanca, knowing where to find them can be a bit of a minefield. Listings are usually given in the local free papers, but you have to be able to find copies in the first place and they tend to be snapped up by ex-pats fairly quickly!
If you’re interested in such things as costa blanca villas to rent, there’s also a tremendous amount of information on the web now, for free.
Most street markets take place in the morning, starting around 10am and finishing around 2pm. Those annotated “pm” are afternoon markets usually starting around 5pm. The Spanish concept of the afternoon is a little different from ours and it extends into what we’d call the evening.
There are markets, craft fairs and the like at other locations too, such as Castillo Conesa San Miguel
On Mondays there are street markets in:
Santa Pola, San Pedro del Pinatar
Tuesdays in:
Orihuela, Benijofar, San Fulgencio, Mil Palmeras (pm), Benidorm
Wednesdays in:
Algorfa, Guardamar, La Mata, San Miguel de Salinas
Thursdays in:
Rojales, San Javier, Bigastro, Urb La Marina, Alicante
Fridays in:
Dolores, Torrevieja, Daya Vieja, Los Montesinos (pm), Pilar de la Horadada (pm)
Saturdays in:
Urb Playa Flamenca, Almoradi
And finally Sundays in:
Urb La Marina, Zoco (Quesada), Benidorm
Unusually, there is a ‘street’ market that opens all week, Monday to Friday; it’s the British Indoor Market at Formentera which is quite a big affair.

Have you ever noticed that perfumes available in any retail shop or scent shop is actually labelled “perfume” and also “cologne”? Apart from that, can you notice that the cost distinction between these two are massive? Maybe you ponder why do this happen? The main reason for the cost distinction is because cologne is actually somewhat the seriously diluted scent.
Perfumes are mixed along with alcohol, which will evaporate after a couple of seconds put on your skin leaving only the starting note behind. Cologne consists of more alcohol when compared with scent; which means scent left is not strong. The aroma won’t last lengthy provided that perfume due to the alcohol’s concentration.
There’s two types of bottles for fragrances, which are fragrance spray and also the pat on type. You have to be cautious when applying fragrance. Don’t spray excessively because the strong aroma can cause folks around you to really feel unpleasant. If you are using the actual dab on type, it is possible to apply the perfume behind both of the ears and also the wrists. As for cologne, it tends to evaporate with a extremely short time frame. We all often apply much more simply because we could not smell it as we are so used to the aroma. This really is absolutely not the case. Anybody who gets close enough to you will be able to pick up the aroma instantly.
Many people choose cologne over fragrance because it is cheap and comes in a greater container. Perfume on the other hand is very concentrated in most cases packaged in the tiny bottle. Consequently, fragrance is much more costly when compared with cologne despite the fact that each products can offer exactly the same results. Because of the concentration of alcohol and its evaporation time, the aroma of a fragrance may not be the same as cologne’s even though each odours fall on the same category.
