A Real Scary Scary Post Penned Whilst On Holiday In Majorca
I had only received the keys to the home 2 days in the past, and after making rash preparations with a nearby removals company, I’d moved into my new house close to other Majorca villas inside forty-eight hours. The other day had already been mayhem, with me directing the position of my few pieces of furniture to their numerous new locations, and finally my bedroom being left with an assortment of containers still to be unloaded.
Slumbering in an unusual house is constantly a daunting task with regard to most people, but in some way I had been successful in falling into a slight slumber. The noise that had awakened me from my light slumber was troubling to say the least. I ignored the concept that it had been brought on by some tiny boxes falling over due to some unbalancing, for the sound had been that of a heavy piece of furniture being pushed across the floor, and then of cupboard doors being flung open in the kitchen area.
My first thoughts were to telephone law enforcement immediately, but then I recalled that I had left my mobile phone in the vehicle, that was now safely locked in the garage below. You always laugh if you notice these things occurring on films how can they overlook the cellular phone. But this was real life, and it was happening to me.
I silently opened up the bedroom window and looked down on a empty avenue. Exactly what else had I hoped to see at four o-clock in the morning, an avenue thronged with individuals. I tinkered with the idea of sneaking downstairs and facing the intruder, but I’m a bit of a coward, so I concluded on securely locking the bedroom door and placing a stout chair under the handle.
There now, I had only to await daylight, or at least the appearance of someone in the road down below whom I could enlist in calling the cops. As things turned out I had no time to hold back for help, the door to my room was being intentionally pushed. Something on the opposite side was grunting with the effort of trying to move the strong desk chair which was the one thing between myself and whatever it was on the other side. The truth is that, I was filled up with panic and terrified witless at the thought of what might be there on my master bedroom landing. I was unsure as to whether to stay noiseless, or to howl my mouth off in the hope of waking others in the road. Certainly someone would take note of my yowls.
My throat was dry and I realized that I had not inhaled for a long time. My heart was beating like a drum within my chest. Please someone, please make it vanish entirely. My vibrant imagination was conjuring various images for what was desperately trying to get into my master bedroom. I felt faint and helpless rather like a little child when faced with a huge ferocious dog. What could I do. What could I use to defend myself against such an wicked foe. Everything in the bedroom was useless as a means of defence, and I could not imagine a pillow being considered as a high risk weapon.
A sudden loud bang on the entry way brought me suddenly to reality. I opened up my little brown eyes to find it was broad daylight. I looked at the bedroom door the desk chair was still there serving as a defence against the mysterious terror of earlier. Again came the banging at the front door, so I quickly put on my dressing gown and stumbled down the stairway. I was shocked to find two police officers standing there. They were making enquiries about a captive who was at large after getting out from a local mental establishment. Had I heard any disturbances throughout the night. Should I relate my evening of horror to them, or simply just forget it. I made a decision to do just that. I made a cup of steaming refreshing espresso and ambled into the garage to retrieve my mobile phone from the front chair of my automobile. As I did so I became aware of an unexpected movement behind me, and a huge pair of gruesome hands closed strongly around my neck.
If perhaps I’d never left my mobile phone in the vehicle.
